Sad news

My sister is going to Africa tomorrow... for six weeks...

I don't get to see her until September. It's not as long as last time, but it's in Africa, so I know mum will worry. Mum's spending a fair bit on medication for my sisterjust in case she has a needle stick over there, there's this anti-viral drugs that cost a fortune for only one weeks worth, but it's totally worth it so that mum doesn't have to worry. My sister, if lucky, will probably not use them and end up donating them to the hospital anyway.

I'm not sure if I get to see my sister off to the airport. I'm working and I've been allowed a lot of time off this year so I don't want to push it... but I do want to see her off too. I doubt mum will be able to see her off, and I don't think mum likes that. She can't get the time off work, I wouldn't think.

Good news

My friend who who was interstate for years finished her Archeology degree and is back home for at least six months. That is very good. We were the two in the back of the art class in high school always getting told off for talking too much. Let's just say neither of us were that good at art and talking was more fun. So it's good to have an old friend back.

Annoying news

Ok I was walking fast with one of those big umbrellas under the tunnel bit of the station. There was no one about and I was running late for the bus. Colided with someone's head... Ouch... I'd feel sorry for her but she was a right b*** about it. I even apologised profusely but she was all "why the f*** would you put an umbrella up here?" end quote. I could see her point and would have explained that I was in a rush and obviously didn't think of that, but with her attitude really didn't feel like sympathising with her. So after apologising I closed my umbrella and left. It makes it easier to be annoyed rather than feel guilty now.

Initially I did feel bad about it, but these things happen, I've been hit in the head numerous times by people's bags and umbrellas and I don't go off my tree at them. If they apologise I actually apreciate that they noticed and actually cared, I don't curse my head off at them like she did.

I'm not trying to say it wasn't stupid to have an umbrella up in the tunnel between the station and the bus, I know that, but she was equally stupid for not looking where she was going (there was plenty of space between my umbrella and the wall). Might I add that someone before me had an umbrella up and I'm not the only one who has done that before. When you're running late, every minute counts and there's no time to mess with an umbrella. What's most annoying is how rude she was in not accepting an apology. Yes, I just had to vent there.
